Hermes Realty Group sells another one in Gwinnett County, Georgia. We are pleased to have represented another client in the sale of their home.

This property was not on the market for more than a day when we contacted one of our agent partners, Eric Reid with the Renaissance Realty Group of Keller Williams Realty Atlanta Partners. Eric has worked with us on many transactions and we were able to find a happy Buyer for this great home.

What is best about this is that the family that was selling their home with us is expecting their first child in a few months and were concerned that their home might now sell fast enough to allow them to move closer to their family. We were able to take care of them and get them sold.

University of Georgia Facts - Matt Hermes, the Athens Homes Guru was in downtown Athens today visiting some clients and stopped by the UGA Visitors Center.

I had not been to the Visitors Center in quite a while so I decided to stop in and see what was new. Let me tell you, UGA should be proud with the Visitor Center along with the student led staff that was working in the facility. Each student that I came in contact with was very professional and friendly to both myself and the guests that were in the building.

The Hamilton Mill Market Report 2013 and beyond into 2014.

Despite all the negativity surrounding the local and national real estate market heading into 2013 the market showed a surprising shift which led to a increase in sales price in Gwinnett County and in our local Hamilton Mill home values. This is welcome news to all homeowners and buyers alike as we have moved back to a stable real estate market where there is a more level playing field for both buyers and sellers. While we see prices continuing to rise through 2014 and for the next four to five years, we do not expect to see huge gains in appreciation. 

Hamilton Mill saw a increase in sales price of 6.4% from 2012 to 2013 and we all should expect a moderate increase of 3-4% in 2014.

Atlanta housing market continues to improve, but at what cost? Interest rates and closing costs!! The Atlanta Journal Constitution  ran a article today with more information stating that the Atlanta housing market is continuing a upward movement in home prices, however it comes at a cost.

The median sales price in metro Atlanta was $181,000 in November, up 20.7 percent from the prior year, according to data from the Atlanta Board of Realtors.
